Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling machinery and conveyance systems according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and established timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform mechanical assembly of machinery and equipment, including sub-assemblies and component assemblies.

2. Exhibit strong mechanical skills and understanding.

3. Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings accurately.

4. Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.

5. Collaborate with team members and work independently with minimal supervision.

6. Identify issues and propose effective solutions.

7. Assist in final adjustments, machine start-up, debugging, testing, and customer acceptance evaluations.

8. Prepare equipment for shipping, including proper crating.

Additional Responsibilities:


1. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

2. Follow company policies and procedures, including attendance expectations.

3. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

4. Communicate effectively with colleagues and foster constructive working relationships.

5. Cross-train on various products as assigned.

6. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant assembly experience.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in PC operations within a Windows environment.

Willingness to work extended hours as necessary.

Travel may be desirable but is not mandatory.

Experience in electrical assembly and wiring, with the ability to read electrical schematics.

Experience in pneumatic assembly and plumbing, with the ability to read pneumatic schematics.

Completion of a two-year technical associate degree is a plus.

Tools and Equipment:
Utilize hand tools (screwdrivers, socket sets, wrenches, hammers, etc.) and power tools (saws, grinders, drill motors, etc.).

Operate manlifts, forklifts, hoists, and cranes as needed.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, or move about continuously.

Frequent bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, climbing, and lifting of items up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting of items up to 75 lbs.

Occasional overhead work and exposure to typical machine shop hazards.

Ability to grasp items and perform keyboarding for computer operations.

Work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
