We are seeking a skilled Lifeguard I or II to join our team at the City of Winter Park, FL. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our patrons at our pools.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and on-demand lifeguard duties, including maintaining water quality, cleanliness, and safety at City pools.
- Regulate water activities and provide support for programs and events.
- Provide swimming instruction and lead aquatic programs.
- Operate automated program and facility registration software.
- Assist with operation and oversight of concessions area.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to deal tactfully and firmly with the public.
- Ability to work weekends and evening hours.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, city officials, and the general public.
This is heavy work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force repetitively to move objects; work requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
