About the Role

Festival Foods is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Meat Department Associate to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring high-quality products are available to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Assist guests with locating items on the sales floor, receive and fulfill guest orders, and provide excellent service by professionally answering department telephone or in on the sales floor.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate pricing on items within displays and sales floor, fill, rotate, and remove product according to date, and ensure proper inventory levels in the Meat Department.
  • Quality Control: Inspect, rotate, maintain proper temperatures, and replenish all meat products on display, and ensure all quality standards are being met.
  • Teamwork: Support teammates and positively contribute to the culture of the Meat Department, and address guest concerns and resolve issues by practicing the boomerang principal.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel, and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Safety Knowledge: Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies, and ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises.
  • Physical Demands: Stand in one place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly, full range of upper body motion, lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis, and occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.

  • Competitive Pay: Hourly associates are paid weekly, and part-time store associates receive a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays.
  • Benefits: Part-time and full-time associates are eligible for vision insurance and two dental coverage options, and associates receive support for their total well-being, including 3 weeks of paid parental leave and a fitness reimbursement program.
