Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Anticipate and meet the needs of patients and medical professionals by managing daily patient flow and acting as a liaison between the two.
    • Monitor clinical messages and effectively communicate information to medical professionals and patients.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Organize and prepare exam, procedure, and recovery rooms before and after each patient.
    • Take and record patients' vitals, noting any changes or areas of concern.
    • Complete documentation for patient charts by obtaining diagnostic studies, reviewing current medications, and recording medical professionals' orders and prescriptions.
  • Education and Support
    • Provide patients with necessary discharge/follow-up instructions, educational brochures, and dietary requirements.
Requirements
  • A high school degree or equivalent education and training.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred or a minimum of two (2) years of clinical Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a specialty practice.

  • Knowledge of and experience with EMR and/or Electronic Practice Management systems and technologies.
