Job Summary

The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors in Film and Media Arts, Animation, and New Media. We are seeking candidates with expertise in critical studies of new media practices, animation, and media arts to teach introductory and specialty critical studies and history courses.

Responsibilities
  • Teach one or two 4-hour courses per semester.
  • Create syllabus or utilize department syllabus and course assignments.
  • Provide meeting time outside of class hours for students.
  • Grade assignments.
  • Manage online/paperwork grading system.
Requirements
  • PhD or Master of Arts degree in a related area is required.
  • Minimum of a Master's Degree and at least 18 credit hours in your discipline is required.
  • College teaching experience preferred in related areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching introductory and specialty critical studies and history courses.
  • Expertise in critical studies of new media practices, animation, and media arts.
