We are in search of a Reliability Engineer to become a vital part of our operations based in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will encounter both challenges and rewards as you contribute to our comprehensive digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will embody collaboration, transparency, and a team-centric approach, emphasizing empowerment, shared accountability, adaptability, continuous learning, and a commitment to automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Your role will encompass managing interactions with manufacturing, logistics support, design engineering, quality assurance, and testing teams. You will coordinate with various reliability programs and engage with key participants in the systems engineering domain. The Reliability Engineer will serve as a bridge between the reliability division and other functional areas of the programs, as well as other reliability-related disciplines, defining the necessary resources to fulfill reliability requirements.
Primary Duties Include:
- Act as a reliability subject matter expert for assigned programs.
- Engage in reliability engineering assessments.
- Collaborate with fellow reliability engineers and programs to ensure best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Advise Systems Engineers on their responsibilities in line with the Reliability Program.
- Conduct independent reliability evaluations as required.
- Demonstrate the ability to work across various disciplines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficient in Root Cause Analysis, FRACAS, FMEA/FMECA, or related Reliability Engineering tasks.
- Must possess the capability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret and SAP security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in performing Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, FRACAS, ESS, Reliability Testing, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA/FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, sparing analysis, and related engineering activities.
- Experience in executing detailed risk assessments.
- Current Active SAP security clearance.
Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900
Employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus in addition to base compensation. Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for personal and vacation purposes.
