Role Summary
As an Orthodontic Care Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding orthodontic services. You will collaborate closely with our orthodontist and the entire team to ensure that every patient receives superior treatment and a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the orthodontist during procedures, including bracket placements, wire adjustments, and various orthodontic treatments.
- Capture X-rays, digital impressions, and intraoral photographs.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene and care for their orthodontic devices.
- Oversee patient flow to ensure timely and efficient appointments.
- Document patient information and maintain precise dental records.
- Create a friendly and inviting atmosphere for patients and their families.
- Help maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
- Assist with administrative duties as required, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental or orthodontic assistant is preferred.
- Proficient in taking dental X-rays and impressions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and readiness to learn in a dynamic environment.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
