Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at the University of California. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in an ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient care, including vital sign measurements and medication administration.
  • Perform basic administrative and clerical tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
  • Participate in patient education and provide support during medical emergencies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program.
  • National certification in medical assisting (CMA, NCCT, or AMT).
  • Ability to administer CPR and perform venipuncture.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and computerized patient care systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
