We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team at L. W. Tank Repair Inc. as a Service Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers a wide range of repair and maintenance functions on trucks, trailers, and bulk commodity handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, conduct inspections, and complete repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, trailers, and cargo tanks.
- Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair air, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Perform a wide variety of maintenance and diagnostic functions on bulk liquid handling equipment, including PTOs, pumps, meters, reels, etc.
- Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for equipment repair.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems is desired.
- A self-starter who works effectively as a team member under the direction of management.
- Ability to prioritize work and follow through with repairs.
- Able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work.
- Must have basic hand tools or be willing to invest in them.
- Safety-conscious, with the ability to look out for oneself and others in the work environment.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers.
- Exposed to heat, cold, noise, and mechanical/electrical fumes or odors.
