Job Summary

X Energy, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in the design and development of electrical systems and associated components for our next-generation nuclear power plants and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical oversight and leadership to the electrical engineering team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality engineering work products on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage the execution of design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to manage the utilization of engineering resources across multiple projects and ensure qualified engineers are performing assigned work.
  • Lead design cycle sprints and provide direction to ensure the convergence of efforts of engineering team members, partners, and suppliers.
  • Manage engineering staff by ensuring staff are meeting expectations and promoting staff professional development.
  • Influence the development of strategy, methodology, and technical tools for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation.
  • Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, tools, or services.
  • Use high-level judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations, product management, technology, or engineering.
  • Assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • Offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and construct and provide recommendations.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to create the next generation of nuclear power plants and technologies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the electrical engineering team.
  • Perform work in accordance with design control procedures, ensuring thorough documentation of work, facilitation of internal and external design reviews, and control of product design configuration data.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Typically, ten years of engineering experience. Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function of electrical power systems development.
  • Experience estimating time and resources needed to execute engineering activities.
Compensation

A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is: $180,000 to $227,000.
