Job Summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in various facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair pipes made of various materials, including steel, copper, and stainless steel.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment to fit pipes according to drawings and blueprints.
  • Inspect and test piping systems to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Repair and replace snowmaking equipment, including high-volume air compressors and high-pressure coolant injection systems.
  • Lay out work and measure to locate pipe positions from drawings or written specifications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with applicable trade school or minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Pipefitter Journeyman level certification.
  • Backflow prevention certification preferred.
  • Valid state driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
  • Facilities maintenance experience and knowledge of required work ranging in a variety of maintenance and repairs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operation/installation of various high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems.
Working Conditions

The Pipefitter will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to physical demands, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to sit, talk, and hear for extended periods and use repeated motions with the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
