Nurse Supervisor

Job Summary:
SightMD, a leading integrated ophthalmic provider group, seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise patient care in preoperative, operative, and recovery room areas, including direct supervision of LPNs, technicians, and ancillary staff.
- Act as patient advocate, ensuring quality care is administered and addressing patient concerns.
- Provide emotional support to patients pre and post-operatively.
- Communicate effectively with surgical staff, update frequently, and review medical clearances and pre-operative tests.
- Assess and interview patients to establish baseline vital signs and physical status, reporting and documenting observations to the operating team.
- Assist patients to operative suites and recovery areas, ensuring patient comfort and postoperative status.
- Contribute to the discharging of patients and maintain knowledge of drugs used, administering safely and accurately as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent relative experience.
- Minimum of 2 years management/supervisory experience.
- Current ACLS/BLS certification required.
- Experience in OR circulating role.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Above-average customer service skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
