Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dog Trainer to join our team at Off Leash K9 Training, LLC in Anchorage. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for handling and training small and large breeds from puppy to adult, working with dogs needing behavior modification, and interacting with the public in a professional manner.

Salary and Benefits

The ideal candidate can easily earn $50-70K/year (or more) working from home with a lot of flexibility and doing something they love. This is a demanding and challenging profession that requires someone who is highly driven to establish professional relationships and be successful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handling and training small and large breeds from puppy to adult
  • Working with dogs needing behavior modification from anxiety to aggression
  • Interacting with the public in a professional manner
  • Driving to appointments in the Anchorage area
  • Continuing education and increasing skill in training, both dogs and human
  • Attend PR events
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Reside in or around the Anchorage area
  • Be able to board at least 2 dogs at your residence for 14 days at a time
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Have a smartphone
  • Have knowledge with Social Media (Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, etc.)
  • Complete a 21 day certification process at the OLK9 Training Facility
Becoming a Successful Dog Trainer

The right person can thrive in this role by possessing a strong work ethic, being reliable, honest, and having a passion for dogs. Additionally, you should have computer skills with the ability to create dog training videos and the ability to work during peak traffic periods during weekdays and weekends. Customer service and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
