Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Core Dermatology. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patients for physical exams.
  • Assists providers in physical exams.
  • Takes patient histories and documentation, obtaining all pertinent information related to the patient's visit and previous medical history and drug allergies.
  • Sets up examine rooms daily for appropriate medical and surgical procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a well-organized patient flow through hallway examine rooms.
  • Performs appropriate laboratory tests (including specimen collection, preparation of lab requisition forms, logging, etc.).
  • Assists with biopsy procedures (including preparation of requisition, logging, etc.).
  • Reports all lab findings to the physician(s).
  • Schedules patients for any diagnostic lab procedures done outside the office facility.


Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of MA accredited program required; CMA Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $23.50 per hour
