Job DescriptionThis role requires an individual with lived experience to assist young people and families as a peer supporter. You will work closely with licensed behavioral health staff to provide initial responses and follow-up interventions within your scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use lived experience to support young people and families
- Provide initial responses with licensed behavioral health staff when available
- Follow the MRSS Plan regarding interventions
- Inform licensed staff of new or increased risks
- Support families in accessing additional resources
- Collaborate with youth, family, and other team members to define goals and ensure the MRSS Plan represents their values and needs
- Crisis response and de-escalation
- Provide skill building, psychoeducation, role modeling, and advocacy interventions
- Identify and connect individuals to natural and other resources, including basic needs assistance
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a valid driver's license
- Be certified in Family Peer Recovery Support Services
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
