Job Overview

Control Panels USA is seeking an experienced Automation Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation control systems for a wide range of industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation control systems using PLCs, SCADAs, and HMIs.
  • Configure and program PLCs from various manufacturers, including Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Siemens.
  • Develop SCADA systems using platforms such as AVEVA/Wonderware, Trihedral VTSCADA, and Rockwell Software FT View SE.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing and site commissioning services.
  • Ensure client expectations are met and maintain good relations with clients and vendors.
Requirements
  • Must have experience with automation controller systems, including PLCs and SCADAs.
  • Must have experience with HMI and SCADA systems, including AVEVA/Wonderware and Inductive Automation Ignition.
  • Field experience performing panel checkout and loop checks is required.
  • Must be able to perform troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning services.
  • Project management experience is required on projects that are exclusive to programming-only scopes.
  • Effective client communication skills are required.
  • Must be willing to travel 20%+ of the time.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, drive, sit and stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be willing to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
