Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our Gastroenterology department, you will provide high-quality patient care to a defined group of patients, adhering to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington ambulatory Nursing Care Standards and policies. You will coordinate and facilitate healthcare services for patients, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans, prioritizing essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of patient responses to care, anticipating and recognizing changes in patient status and need for nursing care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to modify care plans as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting patient self-care responsibility and adherence to medical regimens.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, contributing to the development and implementation of professional nursing standards.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire
  • Basic Life Support required at hire
  • Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ambulatory care nursing experience
  • Primary nursing or case management experience
  • Bachelor of science in Nursing (BSN)
Work Environment:

This role is based in our Capitol Hill South Building in Seattle, Washington, with a 40-hour workweek and a day shift schedule.
