Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Services team at CentraState Healthcare System. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients with cardiac conditions, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer nursing care to assigned patients, adhering to ANA standards, the NJ Practice Act, Joint Commission, and hospital policies.
  • Assist physicians during cardiac testing procedures, recognizing adverse reactions and taking immediate action.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, identifying emergencies and taking prompt action.
  • Educate patients on cardiac disease processes and introduce cardiac rehab recovery plans.
  • Participate in unit conferences to discuss quality issues and improvement strategies.
  • Delegate tasks to non-professional caregivers as needed.
  • Make decisions demonstrating knowledge of nursing practice and sound judgment.
  • Provide pain management and document patient assessments, interventions, and reassessments.
  • Notify physicians of unrelieved pain as needed.
  • Lead unit conferences to discuss quality issues and improvement strategies.
  • Manage the Cardiac Rehabilitation accreditation process.
  • Respond to emergencies in the department.
  • Ensure department meets Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • BSN required.
  • Two years of experience in telemetry or critical care required; emergency care experience considered.
  • RN License/New Jersey required.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required.
  • Specialty certification in cardiac rehab required or obtain within two years of hire.
