Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our eye care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with patient care, collect patient history, and provide patient education in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Perform advanced technical workups, including visual acuity, lensometry, color vision, and other specialized tests as directed by physicians.
  • Conduct retinoscopy and A-Scans as directed by physicians, following established protocols.
  • Collaborate with the eye care team to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of time.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in an ophthalmology clinic setting required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification required.
  • Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) preferred.
