Job Title: High School Faculty

Marburn Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Faculty member to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning differences.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced educator who can teach English Language Arts to high school students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching students with learning differences and be able to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate curriculum across content areas
  • Advise and maintain contact with parents for a group of advisees
  • Train in comprehension and writing skill development
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills
  • Attend and participate in school-wide and standing committees as needed
  • Engage in continuous learning to maintain and enhance knowledge of subject area and pedagogy practices

  • Strong interpersonal acuity and a proven ability to forge relationships with a large and diverse community of people
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intelligence, critical thinking, focus, and creativity
  • Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email
  • A bachelor's degree is required and advanced degree is preferred
  • Have and maintain licensure as required by the Ohio Department of Education
  • Successfully pass a background check (FBI, BCI, Sex Offender)
