Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients and provide case management services to assist them in achieving self-sufficiency.
  • Determine eligibility for assistance and benefit levels using automated systems and manual methods.
  • Establish and monitor self-sufficiency goals through information and assessment of client background.
  • Process applications for financial assistance and diversion.
  • Evaluate employability status of clients and explore potential sources of income.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies and professionals as appropriate.
  • Maintain current listings of community resources and social service agencies.
  • Prepare and maintain confidential case records and files.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Sociology, Human Services, Psychology, or closely related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in public assistance program administration, program eligibility evaluation, or social work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems.
