Position Overview
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse is tasked with delivering expert nursing care within a designated specialty clinic.
This role encompasses a range of general and specialized nursing responsibilities, ensuring comprehensive patient evaluations and care.
The Registered Nurse will support the head nurse in overseeing clinic operations and may assume their responsibilities during their absence.
Additionally, this position may involve supervising and mentoring junior nursing staff, while receiving guidance from the head nurse or physician. The RN operates independently within established protocols and may oversee ancillary nursing staff in executing specific tasks, contributing to their training and development.
Work is conducted in a typical clinic environment, necessitating frequent interaction with patients, families, and a variety of healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in Pediatrics.
- Experience in Pediatric general or specialty areas such as Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Adolescent Medicine, or Infectious Disease is advantageous.
- Background in Mental Health, Case Management, or OB/GYN is a plus.
- Knowledge of social resources and referral processes is beneficial.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Completion of a nursing program accredited by the Board of Nursing or scheduled to complete such a program within 120 days of application.
License/Certification:
Possession of a current Registered Nursing license in Texas or a temporary permit from the Board of Nursing to practice pending full licensure. New graduates must successfully pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) on their first attempt.
Experience:
No prior experience is necessary.
