Emergency Department Nurse Job
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As an integral part of our Emergency Department, you will contribute to providing exceptional patient care and making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
About the Role:
- This is a night shift position in our busy Emergency Department, where you will be responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests.
- You will work closely with the nursing team to create a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients, ensuring their needs are met and they receive high-quality care.
- In this role, you will also direct and guide ancillary personnel, maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.
Requirements:
- A graduate of a professional academic nursing program, with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree conferred
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
