Dietitian - Nutrition Therapist

Job Summary:

The Dietitian - Nutrition Therapist will provide comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to acute care patients of all ages at Tephra, a leading healthcare provider. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and staying up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for patients with various health conditions
  • Conduct nutritional assessments, analyze lab results, and make recommendations for dietary changes
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Stay current with the latest nutrition research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure understanding and adherence to nutrition plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition and/or dietetics or related field
  • Completion of a dietetic internship or equivalent experience accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
  • National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Washington Dietitian Certification -OR- Washington Nutritionist Certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nutrition and/or dietetics or related field
  • One (1) year of recent professional experience in clinical nutrition in an acute care setting
  • One (1) certification from one of the following: CNSC, CSR, CSO, CSPCC, CSG, CDCES, BC-ADM, or RD-AP
