We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Transport Team at El Paso Children's Hospital. As a Critical Care Transport Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care during transport, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of systems and processes to improve patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, treat, and manage patients during transport, under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement clinical interventions based on patient status, with thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff, and contribute to the development of unit preceptor programs.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
- Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in adult, pediatric, neonatal critical care or emergency required.
- Critical care transport experience preferred.
- Current CPR Training program required.
- Education and Training: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
