River Region Psychiatry Associates is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care services, including conducting patient histories and physicals, risk factor assessments, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with clinic policies and relevant regulations.
- Consult with physicians on cases that require specialized expertise.
- Document patient data and present case summaries to ensure seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
- Develop and deliver healthcare education programs to patients and families to promote disease prevention and management.
- Ensure effective communication with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality clinical services.
- Provide consultation and guidance to nursing and medical staff to enhance their work performance and contribute to overall quality service delivery.
- Treat patients using psychotherapeutic methods and medications, discussing progress and providing instructions.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are met by enforcing policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide medication management and education to patients to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
- Work within the guidelines of the Employment Agreement between Employee and Practice.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Comply with federal, state, and payor regulations, as well as guidelines set by the State Board of Medical Examiners and the State Board for Physician Assistants.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting.
- A State License in good standing as a Physician Assistant.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant - NCCPA.
