Job Overview

eTek IT Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe Software Engineer to join our team.

Estimated Salary Range:

$120,000 - $160,000 per year

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer who can work hands-on developing code and participate in multiple projects. As a Senior Mainframe Software Engineer, you will be responsible for writing the actual code to build and support GM's systems applications and platforms.

Your primary focus will be on updating existing software and/or developing new programs that add business functionality and solve critical business problems.

This role will contribute to all development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies, such as Agile, Incremental, Spiral, and the application of a repeatable systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality code for GM's systems applications and platforms
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Collaborate with developers to design, develop, and test software solutions
  • Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in Mainframe Development
  • Expert-level knowledge of COBOL programming language
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Location

This position requires relocation to either Atlanta, GA or Detroit, MI, where you will work 3 days per week on-site. Alternatively, candidates already residing in these areas are also encouraged to apply.
