Job Summary:

The Diesel Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the company's fleet of road equipment, including tractors and trailers, ensuring compliance with federal and state trucking regulations.

About the Role:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
  • Handle road service calls and perform road rescues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
  • Backup to other maintenance shop personnel as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience.
  • OR 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification.

  • Walking frequently.
  • Driving occasionally (test drives equipment) to lift: sedentary, light, medium, heavy, and very heavy items.
