Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team at Wythe County Community Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients of all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care strategies.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient progress, report changes, and adjust care plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA, or eligibility to sit for the NCLEX exam, or Compact licensure as a Registered Nurse, and in good standing with the Board.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications within one year of hire.
  • One year of experience working on a medical/surgical care unit/telemetry unit, or orthopedic unit.
