Master Diesel Technician

Ryder System is seeking a highly skilled Master Diesel Technician to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support
- Utilize diagnostic computers and software to troubleshoot issues
- Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- Coach and mentor other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
- Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with shop management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
- All other certifications as required by location
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly pay: $33.00 per hour
- Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter - four times per year
- Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days
- Annual merit pay increases every year
