About the Events Operations Manager Role:
The Events Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the Event Sales and Planning processes, including the management of Event Managers and support staff for a hotel with extensive meeting facilities.
Key responsibilities include training team members, meeting individual sales targets, and ensuring the overall success of the hotel's event initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of event management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a welcoming and customer-focused environment while promoting teamwork.
- Manage all phases of event execution, from initial planning to on-site coordination and post-event evaluation.
- Achieve or surpass financial targets in all event-related areas.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives to drive event revenue.
- Assess each event opportunity to ensure it aligns with service capabilities and is appropriately allocated.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to develop pricing for specialized menus.
- Work alongside Banquet and Set-Up Managers to ensure high-quality service and event setups.
- Lead the Events team in cultivating long-term, value-driven relationships with clients to meet hotel sales objectives.
- Assist in the forecasting and planning processes for future events.
