Position Overview

This role is designated for a Credentialing Specialist responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of the credentialing and privileging program for the medical personnel within the Department of Health and Human Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and compile detailed information packages for committee evaluations.
  • Initiate and manage applications for medical staff membership and clinical privileges.
  • Coordinate medical staff information and privileging processes.
  • Review outcomes of internal and external administrative evaluations and audits.
  • Interpret and analyze reports to implement necessary modifications for compliance maintenance.
Employment Conditions

Selected candidates may be subject to a probationary period. U.S. Citizenship is required, and compliance with Selective Service Registration is mandatory for males born after a specific date. Immunizations for Measles, Rubella, and seasonal influenza are required for selectees, along with COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencement of duties.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate relevant experience and/or education that aligns with the duties outlined. Specialized experience must be equivalent to the next lower grade level in the federal service, acquired in either the private or public sector.
