Market Director, Graduate Medical Education, Sacramento

Job Summary:

The Director of Graduate Medical Education (GME) will serve as the senior administrative leader for GME in the Sacramento market. This role will oversee the development and implementation of GME strategies, ensuring alignment with Sutter Health's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement GME strategies to enhance the quality and scope of graduate medical education programs.
  • Collaborate with central GME leadership and market leadership to ensure compliance with ACGME requirements and strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with academic partners and stakeholders to promote GME initiatives and partnerships.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure GME operational and business plans align with Sutter Health's GME goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management of academic sponsor relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with local Human Resources to ensure market leaders across the Sutter network are informed of critical needs and issues related to GME.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • 7 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take on new initiatives.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

This is an exempt position, and the employee is expected to work a standard full-time schedule. This role is eligible for work-from-home arrangements.
