Behavioral Health Specialist

Rogers Behavioral Health is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing supportive and direct services to patients in our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospital (PHP) programs.
Key Responsibilities- Support Clinical Team: Collaborate with our clinical team to deliver cognitive and other therapeutic services to patients, adhering to clinical standards of care and under the supervision of a clinical supervisor or director.
- Facilitate Patient Activities: Assist with check-in, check-out, lunch, and other transitional activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.
- Participate in Treatment Team Meetings: Engage in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to contribute to the overall treatment plan of patients.
- Collect and Document Patient Data: Gather and document patient progress data daily, as instructed, to contribute to the treatment plan.
- Provide Structured Therapeutic Milieu: Create a positive and supportive environment that promotes social, educational, personal, and coping skills development.
- Manage Milieu: Oversee the environment to ensure it remains safe, orderly, and conducive to patient growth.
- Implement Individualized Care: Deliver care based on the treatment plan of each patient, under the guidance of the clinical team.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the environment remains safe and free from hazards.
- Support Behavior Management Plans: Assist in developing and implementing behavior management plans for patients, in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Education and Training: High School Diploma or GED required; one to two years of experience in behavioral health or a medical field preferred.
- Certifications and Training: Formal training in managing aggressive patients (NCI) required within 60 days of hire; annual re-certification necessary. American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required within 30 days of hire; bi-annual re-certification required.
- Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license in the state of employment, with a driving record approved by the hospital's insurance carrier.
