Job Summary

Snelling - Birmingham is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment to join metal parts together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate welding equipment to join metal parts together.
  • Ensure welds meet print specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate robotic weld cells and follow required procedures.
  • Verify conformance of finished parts to print specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain tools, fixtures, and machines in good working condition.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of welding experience.
  • Ability to weld vertical, flat, and overhead with good penetration and quality welds.
  • Ability to operate acetylene torches.
  • Math skills including metric system and angles.
  • Ability to read tape measures and angle finders, read blueprint drawings, and AWS weld symbols.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
