Job Summary and Qualifications

12-hour shifts with variable on-call requirements (nights/weekends/holidays)

As a skilled and empathetic Cath Lab Technologist, you will assist with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You will showcase clinical proficiency, sound judgment, teaching capabilities, and a dedication to delivering quality patient care. You will collaborate with a team that unites to provide an exceptional patient care experience. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals ready to elevate their careers. In this role:

  • You will oversee all testing and therapeutic procedures conducted in the Cath lab. These procedures include, but are not limited to: cardiac catheterizations and/or coronary interventions, electrophysiology device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural heart procedures (LAAC, TAVR).
  • You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care, utilizing the appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
  • You will guide the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following the removal of catheter or sheath, and return to the room. You will manage emergent cases.
  • You will maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records, completing all necessary paperwork associated with these procedures and preparing tests for physician interpretation.
  • You will demonstrate flexibility, organization, and the ability to function well under pressure.
  • You will collaborate with fellow team members and provide orientation as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or primary science OR a recent graduate of an accredited cardiovascular program.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of full-time invasive cardiology experience is preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within six months of hire.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification.
