Job Title: Security Installation Technician III

At Allied Universal Technology Services, we're seeking a highly skilled Security Installation Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you'll be responsible for installing, programming, and configuring commercial electronic security systems for our enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project managers with on-site scheduling and timely delivery of equipment
  • Connect control panels, apply requirements, conceal wires, and install security software
  • Install, program, and configure door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, and fire alarm systems
  • Troubleshoot new installations to ensure systems function properly and meet codes
  • Supervise teams of Security Installation Technicians I and II
  • Manage multiple medium to large jobs simultaneously, meeting approved hours and margin tolerances
  • Drive to client sites in a company-issued vehicle to perform system installations and confirm system effectiveness
  • Install electrical wiring, panels, cable, and security devices
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks assigned by manager
Requirements:
  • 06 License required
  • Valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and minimum insurance requirements
  • Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium to large-sized jobs
  • Experience with software such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI preferred
  • Possess or have ability to obtain proper state licensing (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic., etc.)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet
  • Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)
  • Ability and track record of successfully loading servers with 3rd party applications
  • Ability and track record of successfully deploying IP video solutions
  • Possess general working knowledge of network architecture
  • Overnight travel may be required on an as-need basis
