Job Summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager with the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, including staffing, training, and development of our team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing the overall operations of the restaurant, including customer service, food quality, and staff management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, increase sales, and enhance the overall dining experience.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing team members to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food products.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, inventory, and other operational expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the food service industry.
  • Proven track record of success in improving customer satisfaction, increasing sales, and enhancing the overall dining experience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
