Position Overview

The Molding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of molding personnel, focusing on production efficiency, safety protocols, and quality assurance. This role involves organizing work assignments, providing employee training, and fostering a productive workplace to achieve production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, plan, and coordinate molding operations during assigned shifts to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
  • Guarantee the quality of work, efficient material handling, and proper equipment usage while applying effective production methodologies.
  • Delegate tasks to optimize employees' skills and knowledge, ensuring efficient workflow and performance.
  • Enhance productivity through employee training, engagement in lean manufacturing practices, and supporting the achievement of business objectives.
  • Conduct employee training sessions and meetings to maintain open communication channels.
  • Assess employee performance and provide coaching to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Focus on minimizing waste to reduce production costs and prevent the delivery of substandard products.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment by implementing and supporting 5S practices.
  • Uphold company policies and regulations by guiding employees and initiating disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Be aware of and manage responsibilities related to the Environmental Management System (EMS) as outlined in company policy.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Availability to work on off shifts.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and labor laws.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and time management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Effective use of technology and information systems.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Capability to provide guidance and direction as needed.
  • Ability to set goals, make decisions, and oversee operations with minimal supervision.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to support operations during off shifts as required.
  • Ability to achieve business results independently and through team collaboration.
