Shift Hours: 5:30 AM - 5:30 PM and 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Job Overview:

We are seeking adaptable individuals who can work across various shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). Initial training will occur on the 1st shift, followed by a transition to the 2nd shift. A rotational schedule is anticipated for all Manufacturing Operations Supervisors, allowing approximately 4 months on one shift before moving to another.

As a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the efficient utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment. Your role will involve training, developing, and assessing hourly team members while fostering the creation of high-performing teams. You will lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) initiatives and support launch and pilot activities within your designated areas. Meeting or exceeding production cost schedules while maintaining quality standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain awareness of quality benchmarks and communicate departmental quality objectives.
  2. Build and sustain positive relationships with employees, management, and union representatives.
  3. Understand and enforce National and Local Agreements with the United Auto Workers Union.
  4. Implement systems to prevent the recurrence of known issues.
  5. Promote safe working practices and achieve goals related to ergonomics, health, safety, and cleanliness.
  6. Motivate, train, and develop team members to perform their roles effectively using standardized methods.
  7. Ensure team members receive adequate Job Instruction Training (JIT).
  8. Achieve production schedules and product specifications by applying lean manufacturing principles focused on variation reduction, cost control, and productivity enhancement.
  9. Coach and mentor fellow Supervisors in these responsibilities.

Work Site Description:

Preferred Work Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift

Shift Hours: 5:30 AM - 5:30 PM and 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Physical Requirements: Fit for Work Required
