Surgical Technologist Level II

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist Level II to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of the operating room suite, including setting up equipment and supplies.
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist healthcare professionals in receiving, labeling, and verifying sterile solutions and medications.
- Participate in the surgical procedure, anticipating instrument needs and maintaining asepsis.
- Assist with patient transfer to the recovery room and provide nursing care as necessary.
- Hold and maintain a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Knowledge and competency in aseptic technique, infection control guidelines, customer service, and TeamStepps.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism.
