Job Summary

The University of Texas at Dallas seeks a highly skilled and experienced athletic trainer to provide top-notch care and support to our student-athletes. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional athletic training services, including education, assessment, treatment, and prevention of injuries and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to assigned student-athletes, including injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the athletic department's sports medicine operation.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic administration, and university healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Develop and implement programs for injury prevention, education, and counseling.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Physical Education, or a related field.
  • Current and valid State of Texas Athletic Training license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Certification in First-aid, CPR, and AED use.
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of NCAA rules for Division II Athletics.
