We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UTHealth Houston. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients in a clinical setting, working under the direction of a physician.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to inform treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, making recommendations for treatment and referrals as necessary.
- Provide education to patients on medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and outcomes.
- Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Texas licensure as an APRN-NP, with specialty certification as required by the department.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
