Position Overview

The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) is dedicated to enhancing democratic governance worldwide through the promotion of private sector development and market-driven reforms. Role: Program Associate, Europe & Eurasia

Reports to: Senior Program Manager, Europe & Eurasia

Position Summary: CIPE is looking for a full-time, non-exempt Program Associate based in Washington D.C. This role involves supporting program execution and assisting the regional leadership team in managing the financial, strategic, administrative, and legal aspects of CIPE's initiatives in the Europe and Eurasia region, with a focus on the South Caucasus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Collaborate with the Program Manager and regional staff to oversee project management tasks and activities related to the South Caucasus portfolio, which includes:
    • Facilitating data collection and documentation processes.
    • Assisting project partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs, including financial and narrative reports.
    • Monitoring the performance of grantees, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance with procurement policies and evaluation plans.
    • Coordinating regular staff meetings, including managing discussions, preparing agendas, and tracking action items.
    • Working with various CIPE departments to achieve program objectives, including Centers of Excellence, Field Offices, Communications, Grants and Finance, and other regional teams.
    • Overseeing international contract fulfillment, maintaining communication with contractors, and managing the submission of final reports.
    • Drafting, reviewing, and editing reports, proposals, and other documents for donor agencies as directed.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new team members in coordination with regional leadership.
  • Financial Management: Track payment requests, budget burn rates, accounting documents, and travel expense reports in close collaboration with Grants and Finance teams.
  • Administrative Support: Manage travel arrangements and logistics, maintain programmatic and financial files, and translate partner documents as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Conduct legal and subject-specific research, contribute to public outreach and communications, support event planning and execution, and assist in new business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fields such as International Relations, International Business, Economic Development, Political Science, or Public Policy.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience in developing and monitoring project budgets.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment across various time zones.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with a diverse team or work independently.
  • High cultural competence and commitment to an inclusive organizational culture.
  • Fluency or advanced competency in Russian is a plus.

Compensation: The salary for this position is $55,000.
