Job Description

At Signal Financial Federal Credit Union, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Commercial Lending to lead our commercial lending division. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our commercial loan and deposit portfolios, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the credit union's business lending policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development initiatives to expand our commercial loan and deposit portfolios.
  • Lead the commercial lending team, fostering a culture of high performance, member service excellence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the commercial lending department, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
  • Ensure all commercial lending activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the credit union's business lending policies.
  • Direct and mentor the commercial lending team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Monitor credit risk and ensure timely repayments, providing recommendations on loan terms, pricing, and risk management strategies.
  • Set and achieve commercial lending targets, contributing to overall organizational financial goals.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of commercial services across the credit union's offerings.

Requirements:

  • Five to ten years of similar or related experience, with extensive experience in commercial lending.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build, maintain, and inspire effective teams.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and come to conclusions, decisions, or recommendations.
  • Experience with commercial lending systems, preferably FISERV DNA.
