Position Summary:

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), the Patient Care Associate plays a vital role in delivering personalized care to patients, helping them achieve optimal wellness. This position requires collaboration with team members to meet shared objectives and perform essential clinical and non-clinical tasks necessary for patient care.

We offer both full-time and part-time positions in direct patient care.

No prior experience is necessary - training will be provided

Shifts available include 12-hour day and night options.

We provide opportunities for professional growth and educational assistance.

Nursing students are encouraged to apply, and flexible scheduling is available.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, or enrollment in a healthcare career program, or current employment with Mercy.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
    • In Missouri: Mercy offers a 175-hour training program for those without experience, meeting state health department requirements, to be completed within 90 days of hire.
    • In Oklahoma:
    • In Arkansas:
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire, completion of PCA competencies within three months of hire.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Prolonged standing and walking are required during each shift.
    • Must be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform job duties.
