Job Summary

Serve The People Community Health Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Filing, organizing, and retrieving patient records, both paper and electronic files
  • Collecting and maintaining patient information, including medical history and demographics
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of patient charts, paperwork, and reports
  • Providing excellent customer service and communication with patients, providers, and staff
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience, preferably in medical records
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and administration processes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in information management programs and MS Office
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
