Position: Authorization Specialist

Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - In-house

We are looking for a meticulous and committed Authorization Specialist to support our operations at ABConsulting BK NYC LLC. The successful candidate will possess at least one year of relevant experience in a comparable position within the home care sector. In this role, you will be essential in guaranteeing that our clients receive appropriate services by securing authorizations from insurance providers and ensuring that our records are current.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Authorization Management: Secure necessary authorizations from insurance companies for patient services, ensuring documentation is both timely and precise.
  • Record Maintenance: Input and revise authorization details in our database to uphold accurate and current records.
  • Collaborative Communication: Work closely with insurance representatives, healthcare providers, and internal departments to streamline the authorization process and address any challenges that may occur.
  • Insurance Verification: Confirm patient insurance details to assess coverage and eligibility for services.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively tackle and resolve any issues related to authorizations in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of one year of demonstrated experience in a similar authorization capacity within the home care field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of home care services and the specific authorization protocols linked to these services.
