Position Summary: We are seeking a proficient Administrative Support Specialist to join our Accounts Payable team. This role is crucial in processing, tracking, and documenting payments accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Examine invoices for proper documentation prior to processing payments
- Conduct data entry for invoices
- Generate purchase orders as required
- Assist senior financial personnel as necessary
- Verify figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and compliance
- Adhere to federal, state, and company policies and regulations
- Classify documents according to company protocols
- Perform general office tasks, including filing, answering calls, and managing routine correspondence
- Match invoices with purchase orders and packing slips, recording necessary details
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Associate's degree or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong numerical skills
- Experience in accounts payable processes
- Familiarity with accounting software and online platforms
