This pivotal leadership position is responsible for defining the customer journey for a specific department within the Strategic Business Units (SBUs). The role encompasses various aspects from visual merchandising to content strategy, functionality, and campaign planning at the departmental level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish trust and lead through influence, fostering impactful partnerships while taking ownership of projects.
- Design an outstanding site experience tailored to your department.
- Leverage customer insights to craft a unified narrative and ensure a seamless shopping experience, managing visual merchandising, content strategy, and site functionality, including navigation and product onboarding.
- Analyze key trends, outline the department's storytelling roadmap, and utilize essential functionalities to enhance the customer journey, effectively engaging customers.
- Track site performance and health through analytics and key performance indicators.
- Develop site metrics and dashboards to provide strategic insights to stakeholders, influencing the overall site direction.
- Act as a strategic partner to internal teams, advising on process improvements, identifying opportunities, and promoting best practices.
- Implement operational excellence by establishing efficient workflows and processes, while mentoring team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Merchandising, Site Merchandising, or a related area.
- A Master's degree in Business or a related field is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in team management.
- 4+ years of experience in a consumer-focused ecommerce environment.
- Strong customer-centric approach focused on optimizing the site experience.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to set clear objectives and performance metrics for the team.
- Proven capability to select and nurture future leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Assertive, adaptable, and proactive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
